Located between Tel Aviv Jerusalem, Lod is an ancient town with millennia of documented history. In 1948, though, something quite extraordinary happened to much of the Palestinian population of Lod: they were uprooted and became refugees as part what has come to be known as Nakba for Palestinians and War of Independence for Zionists.
